Biography

Since Jun. 2016, Koichi ADACHI has been with advanced wireless communications research center (AWCC) (website ), The University of Electro-Communications (UEC), as an Associate professor. He received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D degrees in engineering from Keio University, Japan, in 2005, 2007, and 2009 respectively. From 2007 to 2010, he was a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) research fellow. Before joining AWCC, he was a Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research (website ), A*STAR, in Singapore for May 2010 - May 2016. He was the visiting researcher at City University of Hong Kong in April 2009 and the visiting research fellow at University of Kent from June to Aug 2009. His research interests include cooperative communications, green wireless communications, and transmission technologies.

Current Research Interests

• Energy-Efficient Wireless Communications Technology:  Massive MIMO, Distributed antenna system (DAS), Transmission technologies (OFDM, CDMA), Cooperative communiations
• Machine-Learning Based Wireless Communications:  Reinforcement learning, SVM, clustering etc
• Low-Power Internet-Of-Things (IoT)
