After two months passed since the joint class in October, UEC students went abroad to Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in China and to joint the final meeting for the PBL works report. A part of the university gym was arranged as the venue of the meeting, and they had the competition of their PBL products there for two days in December 17th and 18th, 2009.
During the first day, the groups' members met each other again after a long time of absent. The venue for the competition was checked and the routing map for the final performance evaluation of products was presented in the morning, being involved later in the preparatory works for the second day performance test. They enjoyed talks at lunchtime sharing Chinese cuisine on the same table.
In the second day, all the groups competed the speed of remote controlled servo car operation. Although the assigned route it was supposed to be difficult for some groups, they created a high design and implementation of their products and contended showing how fast their cars could complete the race. After the competition, they did the final presentation of their PBL works in front of the advisors.
In the banquette session included in the commendation ceremony, were given the awards to the prizes' winners for unique idea and best performance.
City tour
After the international PBL meeting, the participants in the event went on a city's tour, visiting Tien An Mien with their advisers. It was very cold weather under a sky without clouds, very comfortable for tourism. In the Beijing Palace Museum GuGong, they appreciated the historical buildings, including the emperors and their dynasties' houses with its antique goods, which was a very fresh impression for them.
